    15.09.17 Liu Zhuoquan at Hubei Museum of Art

    Liu Zhuoquan features in group exhibition, Stress Field, at the Hubei Museum of Art in Wuhan, China.

    Curated by Feng Boyi, Wang Xiaosong, Hutch Wilco, Zhang Ting, Yan Shuli, and Xia Zi, Stress Field features Chinese and international contemporary artists. The exhibition theme, ‘Stress Field’, is a physics term regarding the distribution of internal forces in a body that balance external forces. This metaphor is used in Stress Field to explore the impacts of societal, environmental and technological forces in modern life through contemporary art.

    Liu Zhuoquan features in a group exhibition at The Gallery at Bayside Arts and Cultural Centre.

    Curated by Robert Lindsay, Fictitious Realities, investigates highly detailed, small scale works that through their scale and intricacy, become portals to potential alternate realities.

    23.02.16 Liu Zhuoquan at Ten Cubed

    An exhibition of Liu Zhuoquan’s works will be presented at Ten Cubed in Melbourne. The Chinese artist’s painted bottle works are displayed alongside a larger scale installation of painted street lamps.

    The exhibition features a downscaled version of Zhuoquan’s work from the 18th Biennale of Sydney (2012), with an entangled two-headed snake painted into the inside of eight dark bottles.

    27.06.12 18th Biennale of Sydney

    Liu Zhuoquan features as one of 101 artists from 42 countries to be exhibited as part of the 18th Biennale of Sydney.

    Curated by Catherine de Zegher and Gerald McMaster, the 2012 rendition of the biennale has been titled all our relations and looks to champion values of connectivity, conversation and compassion. The various exhibitions and programming is held across Sydney at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Carriageworks, Cockatoo Island, Museum of Contemporary Art Australia (MCA) and Pier 2/3 with Zhuoquan’s installation on display at MCA.
