20.12.13 Adam Lester Visits Southern India
This picture was taken by Lester, during a recent trip to southern India.
“From my earliest memories of doodling stick figures on whatever scrap of paper I could find until now, as I continue to search for a style that defines me as an artist, there isn’t a time where art hasn’t been a very important part of my life. Whether I am creating a portrait, capturing a moment in a street scene, or painting a still-life, art has helped me keep a visual journal of where I’ve been, what I’ve done, and how I’ve grown.”
We can see that Lester is often inspired by everyday scenes, painting forms an extension of his daily experiences. Perhaps this recent photo may become a painting for an upcoming exhibition at JMG.
