JMG is excited to introduce emerging Brisbane artist Bridie Gillman who will be exhibiting as part of upcoming group exhibition Anywhere, Elsewhere, curated by Tess Maunder.
Drawing from her background of living in both Australia and Indonesia, Bridie Gillman’s practice negotiates cross-cultural experiences. Her work presented for Anywhere, Elsewhere, is a constellation of photographic images taken from residencies in Indonesia, Japan and Instanbul.
Her work is currently included in group exhibition The Height of a Mountain, the Width of a Valley at Metro Arts space in Brisbane, which is current until 8 August. In the later half of 2015, she will undertake a residency in Malaysia at Hotel Penaga.
