Lucy Culliton in institutional summer exhibitions at Bega, Mudgee, Maitland and Manly

Lucy Culliton will have her work featured in three exhibitions over the summer period, at SECCA, Mudgee Arts Precinct, Maitland Regional Art Gallery and Manly Art Gallery and Museum.

In Bega, ‘Lucy Culliton: Close to Home’ will be the first large-scale exhibition of the artist’s work to be shown at SECCA. With many never before shown works, this exhibition will celebrate the artist’s dedication to portraying the many colourful and quietly beautiful perspectives of her home and garden at Bibbenluke; the animals that she cares for and the wider Eden-Monaro region.

Also on display is ‘A Nest in the Hills: The Symbiosis of Women and Birds in Contemporary Australian Art’ at Mudgee Arts Precinct and ‘The Show’ at Maitland Regional Art Gallery which explores works inspired by agricultural fairs. Finally, at Manly Art Gallery, ‘Garden Variety’ brings together the work of five contemporary Australian artists whose work focuses on the garden as a theme.
