In the article, writer Bridget Ross discusses the story Richard’s friendship with fellow acclaimed artist, Iluwanti Ken, who is the subject of his winning 2026 Archibald Prize painting. This work is currently on the Archibald tour of regional galleries across Australia, and Lewer’s forthcoming solo exhibition, Don’t forget to breathe, will open at Jan Murphy Gallery 28 October.
