Congratulations to Natasha Bieniek, Robert Malherbe, Tjungkara Ken, Sylvia Ken and Leslie Rice who are finalists in this year’s prizes.
Bieniek, Malherbe and Rice are seasoned entrants to the Archibald, Wynne and Sulman Prizes. Bieniek, who won the Wynne Prize 2015, has entered her work Reflection and has her work Waiting for Arden in the Archibald Prize. Malherbe has been finalist in the Archibald, Wynne and Sulman Prizes on multiple occasions, entered his work Lithgow, path to water. Rice, who has also been a previous finalist in the Archibald and Sulman Prizes, entered his work Teha’amana and her husband Paul Gauguin. Tjala Arts artists, Tjungkara Ken and Sylvia Ken, have also been previous finalists in recent Wynne Prizes.
