Art of Music is a fundraiser event presented by musician Jenny Morris with proceeds going to the charity organisation, Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy. Held every two years, a group of Australia’s top artists come together to create an original exhibition where each artist chooses an iconic Australian/NZ song to inspire a piece of artwork.
The artwork is then auctioned during a gala dinner in the Grand Court of the Art Gallery of NSW. The participating artists for Art of Music 2018 include Ben Quilty, Guido Maestri and Lucy Culliton amongst others. The event will feature musical performances by Mark Seymour of Hunters and Collectors, as well as Ainslie Wills and Julia Jacklin.
