In January 2016, Ben Quilty and acclaimed Australian author, Richard Flanagan, travelled to Lebanon, Greece and Serbia as guests of World Vision. On this journey, they followed “the river that is the great exodus of our age: that of Syrian refugees.”
The consequent publication, Notes on an Exodus, bears witness to the remarkable people they met on their journey and features an essay by Richard Flanagan and illustrations by Ben Quilty.
