Congratulations to Betty Muffler, Iluwanti Ken and Zaachariaha Fielding who have been announced as finalists in the 2026 Telstra National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Awards. All three artists have been shortlisted in the General Painting Award category.
Now in its 43rd year, the Telstra NATSIAA is Australia’s longest running and most prestigious award celebrating contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art. This year’s exhibition features 64 finalists from across the country, spanning diverse generations, communities and artistic practices. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Friday 7 August.
