Work by Heidi Yardley can be seen in ‘Melbourne Now’, open at the Ian Potter Centre, National Gallery of Victoria. Celebrating new and ambitious local art and design, ‘Melbourne Now’ presents contemporary projects spanning a range of media and disciplines. Featured in the exhibition are three of Yardley’s 2021 works, ‘The Door’, ‘Psychique’ and ‘Femme en Fourrure’. These anonymous portraits present the female subjects with their faces obscured, evoking a kind of glamorous, film noir aesthetic and mystery.
