Lincoln Austin’s ‘Art Box for Kids’ at QAGOMA

Now open at QAGOMA is Lincoln Austin’s ‘Art Box for Kids’. Known for their multidisciplinary art practice which includes (but not limited to) sculpture, 2D based work, textiles and ceramics, here Lincoln invites children to engage with recycled and repurposed materials to create something unique. The ‘Al-foil drawing’ activity seen here, allows children to create their own ‘sculptural drawing’ using aluminum foil, card, string and glue.

Current until 10 May 2026

Also on display this summer is Lincoln’s 2009 immersive sculptural work, Imperfect pattern L (field of vision) at Pine Rivers Art Gallery. Comprising of 5500 colourful pieces of corflute, this large installation creates a warped-like view of the geometric pattern, aligning with the exhibition’s title ‘Imperfect Pattern’. This show brings together works from the City of Moreton Bay Art Collection with a sharp focus on audience immersion.
