Monica Rohan is a finalist in this year’s Dobell Drawing Prize with her work ‘Don’t look down, don’t think about falling’. The National Art School in association with the Sir William Dobell Art Foundation presents the Dobell Drawing Prize in 2019 as a new biennial prize at the NAS Gallery.
The prize is a biennial competition that will showcase the expanded field of drawing, celebrating innovation, technical skills and diverse media. A leading Australian artist will be invited to select the finalists and award the prize of $30,000. The new Dobell Drawing Prize will run in alternative years to the Dobell Australian Drawing Biennial at the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
